Fantasy Football: Who to Start, Sit, and Pick Up

With the fantasy football season two weeks in, if your team hasn’t won a game yet, you’re probably looking for some serious advice. Your team is like this for one of two reasons: You drafted before the preseason and your best players tore their ACL’s or maybe fantasy football just isn’t your thing. Either way, there is still hope. The Waiver Wire.

Who to Start:

Carson Palmer:

Carson Palmer has flown under the radar this year as most team’s backups. He also is playing against a weak secondary at San Francisco. If you have a quarterback issue, you should try to trade for Palmer.

Tyrod Taylor:

With Ben Roethlisberger out with an injury until late October, a lot of fantasy owners are looking for a quarterback to start for a couple of weeks. Tyrod Taylor has put up impressive numbers to start the year, putting up over 20 points in every week except for one.

Who to Sit:

Andre Johnson:

Andre Johnson has underperformed his expectations this year on a lackluster Colt’s offense. Although he has Andrew Luck, a borderline elite quarterback, throwing to him, he has had a shaky start. Don’t start him until the Colts get back on track.

miller.finalLamar Miller:

Lamar Miller was a huge disappointment to fantasy owners everywhere. He had three straight 8 point weeks to start the year, way below his projections. Miller was been splitting time with Jonas Gray, and was only averaging 10 carries a game. Miller has recently put up great numbers. Lamar Miller is once again a starting running back in fantasy leagues.

Who to Pick Up:

Travis Benjamin:

Travis Benjamin is only owned in 58.9 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football leagues, so chances are, he’s available in your league. He had a 17 point first week followed by an outstanding 32 point second week. Even if he’s at your FLEX, he should definitely be in your lineup.

Gary Barnidge:

Barnidge has put up great numbers for someone who is only owned by 24 percent of the fantasy owners, putting up an average of 12.3 points per week. He is most likely on the waiver wire of your league and should definitely be picked up as solid tight ends are hard to come by.
