If you plan on going into the city during christmas time, then you should definitely go to Bryant Park to stroll through Christmas village, visit The Rockefeller Tree with your friends or family, and should go to Rolf’s German Restaurant to see the insane amount of decorations hanging from every corner. Rain or shine, on the crowded streets of Manhattan, the city is always the best place to be during the holidays.

In downtown soho Rolf’s German restaurant is perfect for a filling meal during the holidays. The restaurant is located 281 3rd Ave, New York. The restaurant serves traditional german dishes. It is known for its lavish holiday decor, while many christmas lights hang everywhere you look. The german comfort food fills you up right away. Although, it is known for its food, I personally think that the reason for the constant restaurant is because of the is over the top christmas decorations. I would definitely recommend going for the experience, but not for the food.  Because the restaurant is such a tourist attraction during the christmas season, there were two long lines going down the block.

Even on a rainy day, many people still gathered in Christmas Village at Bryant park for the Holiday themed retail, food stalls, and ice skating. Bryant park is extremely crowded during the Christmas season. In the village there are many unique food stalls that include s’mores hot chocolate, cookie dough, truffle fries, arisan chimney cakes, and more. A lot of the food stalls at Bryant Park have their own restaurants in other parts of Manhattan. Before we went skating, my family and I picked out ornaments for our tree at one of the outdoor decor shops. We also bought marshmallow hot chocolate and truffle fries before it started to rain. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend visiting Bryant Park with family or friends.

The last place I visited was rockefeller center to see the tree, and the Light Show which was right around the corner. The rockefeller tree standing 125 feet tall, is always a crazy tourist attraction as there were hundreds of people standing on the crowded streets. I felt like I was being suffocated by everyone around me as I inched myself closer to the tree. Families were taking pictures everywhere, police men swarmed the streets while they gave directions to confused tourists. Santas, Elves, and snowmen insisted on taking pictures with little children. Manhattan is the place to be during Christmas, with so many things to do. If you ever have a day off to visit the big apple I suggest you do so before it gets too cold!
