The class of 2013 had the chance to dress up in the latest prom and casual wear to strut their stuff on the runway last Saturday, March 2 when NCHS hosted the annual Fashion Night Out. The event helps raise money for the senior post prom party, and is considered one of the last bonding events for the senior class. The event promoted many local New Canaan businesses and even featured a number from the upcoming spring musical, “Beauty and the Beast.”

Whether it is stressful or exciting, it is time for students to sign up for next year’s courses.

On Saturday, Mar. 2 at 7:00 p.m., the class of 2013 will have the chance to strut their stuff in the annual prom fashion show, held in the high school auditorium. The event’s proceeds will go to the funding for the senior post prom party, and the styles of local stores will feature on the runway.

For two weeks in March, sophomores undergo CAPT testing, a statewide exam that is a graduation requirement. However, CAPTs are not the only grade specific test taken at NCHS. On Feb. 12, the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) test will be adminsitered, to be taken by a group of randomly selected seniors.
