I was late to the Twitter party, try 5 years late, but honestly, it’s better late than never. I didn’t get it until last spring because I didn’t understand the purpose of it. I also didn’t know how to do it so I held back; a perfect example of how lazy our generation is. But no worries, it only takes a little bit of snooping to figure it out, and once you do you will not be disappointed.

The focus of this week’s Armchair Athlete is the Boys Basketball team and their new season, and what is on the Ram’s schedule this week.

Boys Basketball

This year’s team looks to bounce back from last’s years dissapointing season in which they went 4-15 in their CIAC League and 5-15 overall, and were outscored by 167 points, giving up a total of 1198 points overall. However, it wasn’t all bad as the season included two dominating wins over Darien, and then-Captain Chris Rama earning a spot on the All-FCIAC East 1st Team. This years squad, captained by seniors Nick Depuy and Connor KIlbane, now looks to improve their record and build around their young talent, and make a run at their first state title since 1962.

To anyone who has not been to the great state of California- shame on you. Considering there are two main halves of Cali, (NorCal and SoCal), I’ll focus on the second one, which I graced with my presence this past weekend. The purpose of my visit was to escort my cousin Hayley in her debutante ball. If you don’t know what a debutante ball is, then you’re a peasant and should probably get off the computer and back to the granary.
