Many teenagers go off campus during the lunch waves once they can drive. During those times, I have found the fastest and best places in town to get lunch during a 25-35 minute lunch wave.

Tony’s deli

What if you’re looking for a classic bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich? Then Tony’s Deli would be for you. Tony’s is a sandwich shop, and you can order ahead. Every time I go to Tony’s for lunch, it is ready or almost done by the time we arrive. It can get hectic, which is why it is best to order beforehand.

Pinocchio Pizza

Craving a fresh slice of pizza? Pinocchio Pizza on the main strip is perfect for a quick stop. I don’t even need to call ahead since they’re fast and efficient. A classic cheese slice and a refreshing drink make for a satisfying lunch during a busy school day.

Barvida

If you are craving a burst of flavor and energy from one sip of a smoothie, Barvida or Greenology would be the best places to go. There are many smoothie places in town, but I usually go to these the most. There are also acai bowls, but they are messy. If you don’t have much time, eating them in the car may not be the best option. Barvida and Greenology have different types of bowls/smoothies, topics, granola, etc. If you try both places, you can figure out which one you prefer for next time.

Walter Stewart’s Market

When I’m looking for variety, Walter Stewart’s Market is my top choice. It’s more than just a grocery store; they have a deli with lots of choices, and even a sushi station. The deli includes cold cuts, fresh pasta, make your own sandwich, and salads. There are many options for drinks like Bai, Vitamin Water, energy drinks, etc. I love to always get a treat on the way back to school which they have plenty to choose from.

Overall, there are plenty of other spots to find food. It is important to remember we don’t have much time during the lunch waves, and it is best to find a fast and the right food spot for you. Whether you prefer a sandwich, a quick slice, or a refreshing smoothie, exploring your options in town can help you enjoy a break without feeling rushed.
