The band and orchestra will have a concert tomorrow at 7:00 pm. The orchestra will perform in the Wagner Room and the band will perform in the Lapham Auditorium. The band will play Amen, Ireland of Legend and Lore, and American Elegy. Frank Ticheli, who composed American Elegy, came in earlier this year to communicate his vision and coach the band on this piece. The Jazz Band will also perform Roll ‘Em, After All, and Feet Bone. The orchestra will feature their bass section in particular and perform Romanze and Scherzo from Symphony 4, Concertro for Strings, Finale from the Classical Symphony, Basses Loaded, and Moondance.
