Career Night brings industry expertise to NCHS

Students will be able to make real world business connections with industry professionals from 24 different types of job specialization on Career Night. The event, which last occurred 2 years ago, will return from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 27 at the high school. With an array of occupations being presented Career Night offers an introduction to, or further education in, areas of interest for all students.

The NCHS varsity ski team raced to victory at Mt. Southington on Mar. 11, placing first at States. With juniors Jeffrey Cole and Wilson Fleming along with senior captain Courtney Cole receiving All-State First Team Honors, the team, 3 time Class M state champions, once again proved their skill.

Student artists energized for Charged gallery

Every year, the front lobby displays five unique galleries that all showcase student work. The “Charged” gallery, which opens Wed., Apr. 3, is no exception. Exhibiting pieces that exemplify energy through movement and artistic technique, this student run show promises to energize its viewers.

Hello Again!

The infamous “late night” was upon the journalism crew again last night. We basically lock ourselves in room 119 until 9 p.m. and, fueled by pizza and philosophical ponderings with McAteer, put the finishing touches on the Courant paper. Surprisingly, we all secretly enjoy bonding with each other, and appreciated the Mac computers, to which we owe our lives (well, for the solid five hours invested in late night, it sure seems that way.) As you can probably imagine, after around 8 p.m., the caffeine wears out, and everyone sinks into a printer-toner induced trance. But, when energy surges through the group again, this is what happens to the jliz crew:
