As most seniors are just finding out which school they will be attending in the fall of 2012, senior Steph Benko has already committed the Lafayette College, where she will be running on the Division 1 Lafayette Leopards varsity track and field team.

If you were to ask any NCHS student who the best hockey player in the school is, they would immediately tell you Olivia Hompe. But if you were to ask them who in our school is a four time State Champion gymnast, most people would be stumped.

It’s that time of year again, when those who are in a relationship have the excuse to amp up the PDA, and the other single teenagers break out their box of chocolates and the latest season of the Bachelor.
As Valentine’s Day slowly approaches, the time comes to show that special someone how much you really care about them. For sophomores Erik Jager and Maureen Schott, this will not be the first Valentine’s Day they will spend together so they will be taking a more laid back approach toward the holiday.

On Jan. 28th, the NCHS cheerleaders competed in their first competition of the winter season at Nonnewaug High School. The girls dominated, winning first place in every category they were entered in and leaving with a total score of 78 points.
