Rams lose to Fairfield Prep in CIAC semifinals 4-3

The boys’ hockey team ended one of the most successful seasons in recent history last night at the “Yale Whale” hockey rink. Despite leading the shot total 34-27, the Rams fell to the Fairfield Prep Jesuits 4-3.

Boys’ hockey defeats East Haven 6-3 in opening round of State tournament

Last night, the third seeded boys’ hockey team came out victorious over the 14th seed East Haven Yellowjackets with a score of 6-3.

The Rams came out strong scoring two goals in a 1:30 minute span in the first period. Junior forward Jimmy Joe Granito, who placed a wrist shot top shelf from the top of the circle with 8:55 remaining in the period, scored the first goal. Junior defensemen Brian Tohir scored the team’s second goal of the period by cranking a slap shot from the weak side point with 7:25 remaining, beating East Haven goalie Sam Gavigan five-hole…

Only two of the twelve teams that entered the NFL postseason nearly a month ago have remained. In only a few days, the Indianapolis Colts will be competing against the New Orleans Saints for the Lombardi Trophy. The Colts and Saints both feature high powered offenses led by Peyton Manning and Drew Brees, and both teams boast big play defenses hungry for turnovers. What’s Poppin’ December

In writing this I attempted to keep track of all the new mistresses that Tiger Woods had been with, as new ones appeared every day. I lost count after five. This man, or should I say international icon, was literally on top of the world. A smoking hot wife in former Swedish model Elin Nordegren, more money then any one man needs, worth nearly $900 million, two beautiful children and endorsement deals from several top companies including Nike and Gatorade, he had everything. Or so we thought. A simple case of reckless driving combined with a report from the National Inquirer has sent Tiger’s life into a tailspin, destroying his marriage in the process.

What’s Poppin’ November 2009

With the recent fine of Chad Ochocinco, the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell have taken the recently implemented and stricter player conduct policy to a new level. Ochocinco, who legally changed his last name from Johnson last year, made an acrobatic catch on the sideline in the Bengals 17-7 win over the Ravens, the ruling on the field stating that he got both feet down. Following a Ravens challenge, Ochocinco walked onto the field with a one-dollar bill grasped in his hand trying to “bribe” the refs to give him the call. He was slammed with a $20,000 fine the next day.
