Will all the unnecessary violence and insane critter sprinting of Fun Run lead to an addiction, or is this game another forgettable title? Fun Run is a two dimensional thriller designed by DirtyBit that puts you in the body of a furry critter competing for the chance to be crowned victor at the end of a 90 second sprint across a happy terrain. The game can be played in a solo-practice mode, or for social gamers in a full-on competitive mode.
Your goal is simple – get to the end of the course as quickly as possible, while taking as many lives away from your fellow F1 furry friends as possible. “No amount of force is excessive.” Critters can stir up lightning, plant surprise attack boxes and even generate force fields to protect themselves from your friends.
Think of Mario Car fusing together with South Park’s humor to create an iPhone title. But can this free download be compared to the greats such as Doodle Jump or Temple Run?
I give Fun Run a ⅘ stars, for creating a compelling adventure that tests the will of a nameless creature in the face of adversity and challenge, but failing to deliver a true hit that transcends gaming technology for the next generation of thumbed gamers.
