This blog is oriented around the idea that it is important to have motivation and a purpose for every day, especially during quarantine. Every other day, there will be a focus and message for the day. The goal is to live each day with this concept in the back of your head so that you can feel productive and uplifted throughout the rest of quarantine.
Day 1: Communication
Often times during isolation we forget how important it is to reach out to others. Clearly this is a challenge since we can no longer see our friends face to face. But, I believe that with a little push, it is important that you Facetime that one friend who you haven’t spoken to in a week or two. Reach out to friends just to say hi. It is easy to get tangled up in your own thoughts or fears when you socially isolate yourself from everyone and everything. This is your sign, make an effort to go on a zoom call with a group of people and be a listener. Listen to your friends and their worries as this is a very difficult time to get through alone, but also share what’s weighing you down. Don’t be afraid to express your emotions, it’s important that you don’t keep everything bottled up for too long. Remember, communication is key. Go throughout your day and have this thought in the back of your head, you never know what happen! Stay healthy and stay safe.
