The beginning of the school year embraces constant novelty. In a transition new classes, new teachers, and new activities, back to school shopping for new clothes is somewhat inevitable. This fall is a chance for all NCHS boys to succeed academically, an accomplishment that starts by dressing for success. With that being said, there are ten items that everyone should have in their closet this fall.

Fall into new music

As the singles of summer have faded, sophomore Ellie Garrett is more than excited for the new music coming out this fall. “One Direction’s new album Take Me Home is released this November!” she said. “I’m getting it Oct. 8 because I specially ordered it from the U.K.”
One Direction is not the only one with new music; fall marks the season for album releases from top artists in the alternative, country, pop and electronic genres. September starts off the trend with new albums throughout the month in all these genres.
The state of the euro and what it means for America
America and the world will be watching Europe this fall as European leaders try to strengthen the Euro before the euro zone can be weakened any further. The European Central Bank President Mario Draghi will be unveiling new measures this week that will widen the scope of the ECB’s power over all European banks. These measures promise to further centralize the funds within the EU to the ECB, allowing countries such as Greece and Spain to obtain bailouts more easily.
Annual 9/11 assembly brings students and faculty together
On Sept. 14, NCHS had its annual 9/11 assembly in the auditorium at 9:15 a.m. during periods 1 and 4. The goal of this assembly is to bring the school together to remember those who risked their lives 11 years ago, and show the strength and resilience of those impacted.

Let’s face it, school isn’t exactly easy. With homework to do, tests to study for and projects to complete, it’s nice to have the chance to challenge your mind without the results ending up on your transcript. How about by trying to connect colored dots together with pipes to fill up a board?
