Remembering 9/11 ten years later

Ten years ago tomorrow, America was attacked by nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists on a beautiful September morning. The tenth anniversary of 9/11 serves as a reminder of how our nation has bound together in times of tragedy and the day that forever changed history. To pay tribute to the victims of September 11, several seniors have organized their own projects.

Last ‘first day’ of school is no different than the rest

7:15 There’re a lot of kids milling the hallways, craning their necks in unusual ways and trying to figure out why room 205 is next to room 216. They make things really confusing by asking you to go to a class you’re not going to find again for a year/ haven’t been in for a year. They say homeroom won’t change for all four years of high school but from experience, they lie. To the kid who asked where room 208 is: no idea. Sorry.

Summer means a lot of things to a lot of people. For some, it’s a trip to a summer house in the boonies, and for others simply an escape from the demands of the school year. Summer, however, is universally accepted as a time to relax and enjoy oneself, and for many this comes in the form of summer concerts. They will love the attention they’re getting from you first timers, and the stories about a clueless freshman coming over to their ‘section in the lounge’ will be reminisced for days.
