There are a lot of good articles on this site and in your pages. I advise Inklings over at Staples, and I also work with the Connecticut Academic Press Association. CAPA has the courage in journalism Award, and I think your staff might have some interesting entries to the contest, particularly the series of articles about sexuality.

How sad that one’s gift of virginity is nonchalantly thrown away. Do these young women realize that they are wired differently than their male counterparts? Women try to fool themselves into thinking that recreational sex is fine. It’s not fine morally or emotionally. A guy can have sex with a woman and that’s all it means to him; an orgasm. I am so sorry for and pity these young women who pretend that the intimate act has been debased.

I can’t tell you how happy I am to see the posters all over the school – they were donated by my husband. They had been in his family for years and we didn’t know what to do with them when they landed at our house. When I gave them to Mr. Pavia last June, he told me they would be framed and hung throughout the school. I was so glad to see them when I was at NCHS for a meeting recently. They are so important to our history and understanding the patriotic efforts of our country during WWI. I know my husband’s cousin will be so glad to see they have treated so well and will be part of the curriculum.

A scoliosis diagnosis may limit what kinds of activities a young person can do, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t participate in any activities. A lot depends on the severity of the condition and a doctor can help a patient determine what kind of exercise is right for them.
