Girls sports take on the postseason

The girls fell to Wilton 0-7. But the girls would quickly improve, finishing the regular season with a 12-4 record. This included an important win against the Ridgefield Tigers, where the Rams were able to pull away with the win 6 matches to one. Even though the girls played against the Warriors the first game of the season, it would not be the last time that the Rams would face them.…

Boys basketball season recap

Campbell Armstrong, Sports Editor @CarmCourant This season the boys basketball team wrapped up with a 3-12 record with the help of co-captain and leading scorer Tyler Sweeney. The team has struggled generating wins throughout the season. The boys have been competitive in many of their games, but have not been able to score enough to win. The Rams dominated during their game against Trinity Catholic on January 17th, resulting in a 64-57 win. With a record of 9-5, Trinity qualified for 7th place in FCIACS which starts next week. Boys’ basketball falls in close game to Norwalk Bears

Campbell Armstrong, Sports Editor @CarmCourant On Wednesday, February 1st, the boys basketball team, led by senior co-captains Tyler Sweeney and Mike Svagdis, fell to the Norwalk Bears 43-42. While the boys were able to work together and push each other to grab many points in the first half, their second half effort was not enough to top Norwalk’s team.  With a score of 21-19 at the half, the Rams were hopeful to stay in the lead and pull out their fourth win.
