Rams take on Windsor in the state championship

Samantha Axon, Sports Editor @SAxonCourant Last weekend, the Rams traveled to New Britain to face off against the Windsor Warriors for the Class L state championship. Windsor had been undefeated before this game, and went in with high hopes. This is the Rams’ fourth straight state title and head coach Lou Marinelli’s 12th state title in 36 years. Starting off on defense, the Rams held the Warriors at bay, forcing them to go three and out on the opening drive. Samantha Axon, Sports Editor @SAxonCourant The New Canaan Rams and Darien Blue Wave met for the annual Turkey Bowl this Thanksgiving. Coming into the game, both teams were undefeated, but coming out, only one team could hold onto that honor. Samantha Axon, Sports Editor @SAxonCourant On Thanksgiving day, the Rams football team faced off against the Darien Blue Wave in the annual Turkey Bowl. The 9-0 Rams were looking to win this game for the first time in four years. In 2013, the Rams were undefeated on the day before Thanksgiving, in 2014 they were undefeated the day before Thanksgiving, and in 2015 the Rams were once again undefeated until the day before Thanksgiving. The fall sports teams have been vocal about their opinions and how the new turf impacts their playing.
