Boys’ basketball falls in close game to Norwalk Bears

Campbell Armstrong, Sports Editor @CarmCourant On Wednesday, February 1st, the boys basketball team, led by senior co-captains Tyler Sweeney and Mike Svagdis, fell to the Norwalk Bears 43-42. While the boys were able to work together and push each other to grab many points in the first half, their second half effort was not enough to top Norwalk’s team.  With a score of 21-19 at the half, the Rams were hopeful to stay in the lead and pull out their fourth win. Girls’ ice hockey falls to Fairfield co-op in overtime in rematch

Katie Tan, Reporter @ktanCourant Coming into the game with a record of 3-2-3, the girl’s ice hockey team took on Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe co-op for the second time this season after beating them 5-1 earlier in the year. However, this time they weren’t so lucky as they fell, 3-2 on their home ice at Darien Ice House. The Rams carried a 2-1 lead until the last five minutes of the game when Fairfield scored to tie it up. The game then went into overtime where the Falcons were able to score in the first few minutes.
