Alexandra Harte, Reporter @aharte_courant Despite the crisp, freezing cold air on Thanksgiving, the sound of excited screams and cheers could still be heard bouncing off the walls of the enormous Boyle Stadium. The bright white and blue colors on opposite sides of the field sharply contrasted one another, and at the shrill sound of a whistle, the Turkey Bowl has begun. Before the game, fans attend a tailgate, which is created to add to this supportive atmosphere. Thomas Welch, Reporter @twelchcourant Carson Allsteadt was a driving force this season for New Canaan volleyball, leading the team to an FCIAC appearance and a first round win at states. Being a dominant player on the court, she led the team in kills and digs. This season, she helped the team to a 5-set win over Darien, the program’s first in 15 years. Clark Jones is taking over boys ice hockey, while John Winchester will be the new girls basketball coach.
