Prom season is now officially over, but the talk of the best dressed and cutest couples are still happening. We sent out a poll to the senior class, and the votes are in! Read below to find out the Class of 2016’s favorite looks.
Most Original Girl – Jane Reed
While almost all girls wear dresses to prom, Jane Reed looked fabulous in a black jumpsuit. This jumpsuit had a high neck with some cut outs, adding some flare to this look. Paired with bold red lipstick, Jane killed it.
Most Original Guy – Clayton Burt
Even though fun, patterned bow ties and cummerbunds are becoming popular, Clayton Burt brought a whole new style to the prom game. With bright colors that matched his dates red dress, Clayton looked classy yet fun. He stood out both in photos and on the dance floor.
Best Shoes – Max Marsh
This year, Jordans emerged as a popular shoe choice for the guys, but Max Marsh won the sneaker game this time. Matched well with some Ray Bans and a clean/classy tux, Max’s shoes were hard to forget.
Best Hair – Katie Colwell
Styled in a half-up half-down do, Katie Colwell’s hair was both simple and beautiful. With her hair out of her face, Katie smiled big in all her photos, making sure to capture her beachy curls in each picture. 
Best Patterned Dress – Katharine Freiberg
In shades of blue and floral print, Katharine’s dress was both unique and stunning. With many patterned dresses, Katharine’s was the grade’s favorite. With her date matching her blue ensemble, Katharine’s dress was memorable and beautiful.
Best Short Dress – Sophia Bozzella
Known for her style, Sophia was expected to bring something great. Bringing something new to prom, Sophia wore a white midi dress with nude heels. This simple ensemble was elegant and beautiful. Stay classy Sophia!
Cutest Couple – Lizzie Kaliff and Jack Havard
With Lizzie looking beautiful in red and Jack looking dapper in his tux, this couple was equally as well dressed as they were adorable. Matching a red rose to her dress, these two looked magnificent in photos and on the dance floor.
Funniest Couple – Kate McMahon and Jake O’Neill
Everybody knows that Kate and Jake are hilarious as individuals, so together they were the life of the party. Kate rocked a magenta dress with an open back, and Jake went classic with the black and white tux. Not only did they kill it with their outfits, but their personalities also shined through. Should Have Been Prom Queen – Sarah Panella
Known for her amazing hugs and beautiful smile, there was no doubt that Sarah Panella would win prom queen. From her gorgeous and bold red dress to her perfectly styled hair, Sarah shined all throughout the night. Dancing at prom and enjoying her time at the Waveny mansion, this prom beauty would have been the first to be crowned.
Should Have Been Prom King – Justin Clark
From his Jordans to the violet bow tie that matched his date’s beautiful dress, Justin’s took the classic prom look to a whole new level. However, his tux and shoes weren’t the only thing that swept the Class of 2016 off their feet. Flashing a smile at pre prom and dancing on the dance floor, this guy was a sight to be seen. If NCHS were to crown a prom king, Justin Clark would be your guy.
Best Dressed Couple – Kendall Genzburg and Mike Cognetta
Covered head to toe in bright pink and white, this couple added fun and originality to the prom scene. Kendall wore predominantly pink with white detail, while Mike wore a white tux. 
He wore a bright pink cummerbund and bow tie. With eye-catching colors and shining smiles, Kendall and Mike totally seemed like a real-life Barbie and Ken.
Best Dressed Male – Berlin Charles and Adam Ruth
With both these men dressed in white, the senior grade couldn’t decide who looked better. Berlin killed it in a pink vest and bowtie to match his date’s dress, accented with a pink rose, along with classy black and white shoes. Adam also wore white, but his tux included black lining and a black cumberbund that matched his date’s dress. To make the white pop even more, Adam had a red rose on his left. Flashing the white jackets, these two stole the show.
Best Dressed Female – Amanda Dobbin
Dressed in an elegant gray gown, Amanda looked stunning. Simple and flattering, Amanda’s dress was one the senior class would never forget. Accessorized with a bold choker, Amanda looked beautiful throughout the night. Congrats girl!
