Will Carmelo Anthony bring the Knicks success?

Five games since the blockbuster Carmelo Anthony trade, the New York Knicks are 3-2, including a huge win over the Miami Heat on Sunday. However, consistency on the defensive end is what looms as the Knicks’ main issue.

All season the Knicks have been have been absolute dynamite on offense, averaging 106.2 points per game, good for second in the league.

Off-Campus Lunch Favorites Square Off

Going off-campus has been a tradition for almost a decade for students. However, determining which of the countless delis to choose always plagued upperclassmen seeking the perfect. In order to settle this debate, we surveyed 200 students in order to nominate three sandwiches, one from each of students’ favorite lunch establishments: Tony’s Deli, Forest Street Deli and Chicken Joe’s.

Over the years, hockey has experimented with its formula to keep up with the times. For instance, there is the new trend in alternate jerseys. Some are good, some bad, and some should be burned. The NHL has also toyed around with overtime. Shootouts were first implemented in the ’05-’06 season, and though there have been some gems, I have to say that it is a failed experiment. But out of all the poking and prodding of the NHL blueprint, something truly amazing emerged.

The struggle to the find and buy the perfect jersey is something that plagues all sports fans. Qualities like team, color and player all play a key role in the deciding on a jersey. Students shared their favorite jerseys as well as characteristics they looked for when buying jerseys.

“They quality doesn’t really matter, its more the person,” junior Thomas Rochlin said. “However, sometimes I wear an authentic jersey as opposed to other jerseys which are considered replicas. Replicas tend to be more comfortable and cheaper than authentics.”
