As you walk the halls of NCHS, or cheer in the stands at football and hockey games, you’re bound to catch a glimpse of senior icon Teddy Hood. Standing at a powerful 6’1, he has no problem perusing through the halls with a big smile on his face. Friend to all, Teddy is an active member of the high school community. He loves playing football and hockey, has many companions, and never hesitates to start up a conversation about absolutely anything.

With all the course options here at NCHS, it can be difficult to choose a favorite. However for Teddy, he has one class that towers above the rest. “I really like gym because I’m my most attractive self when I’m super sweaty, and I really like impressing the girls in my class with my super athleticness,” he said.

As previously stated, Teddy is an athlete who participates on multiple rigorous sports teams. “I play hockey and football. I really like them because I was never really good at individual sports and I felt super self conscience so I played the team sports to feel better about myself. Hockey is my favorite because I love big sticks,” he said.

Sports aren’t the only pastime Teddy enjoys outside of the classroom, he is also a skilled craftsman. “I love shaping wood into inanimate objects, and sometimes I cuddle with them at night,” he said. “My favorite carving is an *ocelot.”

Being teenagers, a large part of day to day life is food. Some people are passionate about a favorite food, and for Teddy it happens to be one you can find close to home. “I love buffalo wings because I love ripping meat off bones. Best buffalo wings are from Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford,” he said.

Along with food, teenagers need certain key liquids to survive. The main drink that keeps all of us on our feet is, of course, coffee. Teddy is no exception to the common attractive beverage. “I like coffee, my Mom makes really good coffee. I love my mom,” he said.

Family wise, Teddy enjoys a nice home environment with inspiring parents and loving pets. “I had a dog named Angy, but he’s dead now. Shout out Angy, shout out God,” he said. “My father was a Ukrainian butcher and my mother was a French maid in the 1700’s, was iced and respawned in 2007.”

Having this be his last year of high school, Teddy has a lot of fun memories to look back on. However, one of his favorites involves the little freshmen. “I really enjoy walking around the halls and touching random freshmen on the head, and having a conversation with them,” he said. “I think it makes the world more social in an iPad driven universe. I like to help them with their social self esteem, because they’re always stuck on their phones,” he said.
