Tradition in apparel has become consistent in the world over the past centuries. It is very apparent as we come off of our holiday season every year, that we enjoy the warm colors of winter and darker tones in order to stay warm and deflect the cold weather.
Vibrant reds, purples, and darker tones are popular to represent the celebration of holidays and the New Year. However, I feel that these warm colors also represent warm feelings towards others. After all, the holidays are about being with family and friends. What’s better to represent that than with a cozy red sweater or a soft blue scarf. The colors seem to melt the ice and snow outside to create a more friendly environment with the people you are with.
